ASUS Zenfone Zoom ZX550/Z00XS Hands-on, Camera Samples and Antutu Benchmark



In 2015 CES ASUS released ASUS Zenfone Zoom which have optical zoom. With 3X optical zoom and 13 MP, ASUS Zenfone Zoom become world's thinnest optical zoom smartphone. ASUS Zenfone Zoom powered by 64 bit Intel Atom Z3590 which have 37% improved performance from the previous generation and can reach 50% energy savings. With 4GB RAM there is more space for Zenfone Zoom to do a lot of multitasking. Built-in 3000mAh non-removable battery with 5.5 inch screen size. Zenfone Zoom screen have IPS display and 403 dpi of density with blue light filter technology. The screen also strengthen with Corning Gorilla Glass 4th Generation. Entire Zenfone Zoom weight is 185 gr. With 5MP Front camera and 88 degrees angle makes it perfect for selfies. In audio sector ASUS Zenfone Zoom powered by Sonic Master 2.0 technology.


ZenFone Zoom using OIS-shake compensation system, the sensor is Panasonic SmartFSI sensor, the size of 1/3 inch, and also uses Fujitsu's independent image processor designed to handle noise.


ZenFone Zoom shutter speed range is 32 seconds to 1/500 second, and sensitivity to the highest range is ISO50 800, exposure compensation can be plus or minus 2EV. 13 million pixel sensor, but with their Super Resolution technology can be upgraded to 52 million pixels. Meanwhile ZenFone Zoom is also equipped with a laser focus, its principle is very low-power laser emission from mobile phones, to calculate the distance from the object to the camera, due to the precise distance information obtained through the laser energy, with a step inside the lens type AF motor, allowing ZenFone Zoom to within 0.03 seconds to complete autofocus, the actual use of small series is indeed very fast, but is currently limited to the wide-angle end and sufficient brightness of the place
