[ROM][Android 6.0] ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE551ML/ZE550ML Marshmallow Firmware


In this post I will share Full Firmware .zip Beta Marshmallow for ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE551ML/ZE550ML. Before you update to marshmallow make sure backup your data and update to the latest Lollipop.

  1. Software update to Android 6.0 Mashmallow. Internal storage will decrease slightly after update, suggest to back up data and relocate media file (pictures & video clip) to SD card to reserve enough storage before starting the software update.
  2. Android Marshmallow won't support APP2SD. Please move apps to internal storage before system upgrades.
  3. Multi-user function won't be supported if the account is deleted. Please keep your account to continue usage.
  4. The apps listed below will no longer be pre-loaded once your device has been upgraded to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).

How to Update to Marshmallow Zenfone 2 ZE551ML/ZE550ML ?
  1. Go to Settings>about>system Update
  2. Download .zip above and flash Via ADB Sideload or
  3. Copy and Paste this .zip to Internal Storage ( Update notice will be pop up in your zenfone screen) and click update. or
  4. Update via SDCard (Copy and paste .zip to SD Card then open recovery and choose apply update from sdcard)

    After circulating teaser-teaser video of ZenFone 3 Finally today ASUS introduced their newest line is ZenFone 3. 3 comes in three variants namely ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe and ZenFone 3 Ultra. Thirdly latest Smartphone from ASUS uses Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, leaving the typical two previous generation Intel.

    How to Root ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL Marshmallow

    How to Root ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL (Android Marshmallow):

    1. Install TWRP Recovery (Tutorial)
    2. Download Patched boot boot_13.10.6.16_patch.img (Download)
    3. Enter fastboot by turn off device and press power+volume up
    4. Open cmd and type:
      5. fastboot boot boot_13.10.6.16_patch.img
    5. Download SuperSU.zip (Download) and copy to SD card
    6. Enter TWRP recovery and flash superSU.zip via recovery

It provides a touchscreen-enabled interface which allows users to install third-party firmware and backup the current system, which are often unsupported by stock recovery images. Today Asus zenfone blog will teach you How to Install TWRP recovery for ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL Marshmallow. To install TWRP recovery you need unlock bootloader your zenfone 2 laser, and this action will void your warranty. DWYOR (Do it with your own risks).

    1. ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL unlock bootloader (tutorial)
    2. Twrp Recovery img (Download Twrp2.8.7.7 | Download Twrp 3.0.2-0 )
    3. ADB Fastboot (Download)

    How to Install TWRP for ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL Marshmallow:

    1. Make sure your zenfone 2 laser bootloader unlocked
    2. download and install adb fastboot
    3. Download twrp.img above
    4. Turn off zenfone
    5. Enter fastboot mode by pressing Power+volume up
    6. Connect ZenFone with PC/Laptop with usb cable
    7. On twrp folder open cmd by (shift+right click > open command here)
    8. Type on cmd:
      9. fastboot flash recovery twrp_2.8.7.7.img
    9. Make sure Reboot to recovery by pressing Power+volume down otherwise at normal reboot will back to stock recovery

    What you Need :

    1. ADB Fastboot (Download)
    2. Twrp 2.8.7.7.img (Download)
    3. UnlockBL.zip (Download)
    4. LockBL.zip if you want to re-lock bootloader (Download)

    How to Unlock Bootloader ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL Marshmallow:

    1. Download and install ADB Fastboot
    2. Download Twrp.img and unlockBL.zip above
    3. Copy and Paste UnlockBL.zip to Zenfone 2laser memory
    4. Enter fastboot mode by turn off zenfone and press power+volume up
    5. At Twrp 2.8.7.7.img folder open cmd by pressing shift+right click > open command here
    6. Type at cmd:
      7. fastboot boot twrp_2.8.7.7.img
    7. Flash UnlockBL.zip via twrp recovery
    8. Reboot
    9. Done
