How to Update to Marshmallow Zenfone 2 ZE551ML/ZE550ML ?

1. Go to Settings>about>system Update
2. Download .zip above and flash Via ADB Sideload or
3. Copy and Paste this .zip to Internal Storage ( Update notice will be pop up in your zenfone screen) and click update. or

How to Root ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL (Android Marshmallow):

1. Install TWRP Recovery (Tutorial)
2. Download Patched boot boot_13.10.6.16_patch.img (Download)
3. Enter fastboot by turn off device and press power+volume up
4. Open cmd and type:
fastboot boot boot_13.10.6.16_patch.img
5. Download SuperSU.zip (Download) and copy to SD card
6. Enter TWRP recovery and flash superSU.zip via recovery

1. Download and install ADB Fastboot
2. Download Twrp.img and unlockBL.zip above
3. Copy and Paste UnlockBL.zip to Zenfone 2laser memory
4. Enter fastboot mode by turn off zenfone and press power+volume up
5. At Twrp 2.8.7.7.img folder open cmd by pressing shift+right click > open command here
6. Type at cmd:
fastboot boot twrp_2.8.7.7.img
7. Flash UnlockBL.zip via twrp recovery
8. Reboot
9. Done

Today ASUS Start to rolling out update Android M for ZenFone 2 series. The first ASUS Smartphone which get Android Marshmallow is ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL. The Marshmallow update for ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL is roll out today 11/5/2016 with V13.10.6.16 firmware version.

1. Android 6.0.1 Marhsmallow Beta for ASUS ZenFone Max (Download)

How to Install Marshmallow Beta ROM:

1. Download ROM above and Extract it to a folder
2. Download ADB tools (Download)
3. Turn off ZenFone max and enter fastboot mode Power+Volume up
4. On Marshmallow beta ROM folder press shift+right click -> open command here
5. Check connection by typing: fastboot devices if your device is listed you're ready to flash the ROM
   
6. On Marshmallow beta rom folder open S3V3N_cmd file
   
7. Command prompt will pop up and type: 
flashall_AFT WW_ZC550KL_V 13.8.26.15 _M3.1.39_Phone-user.raw
8. Wait until finish and restart, done
   
9. First boot may take a long time, be patient :)

Hey Long time no post, Today i will share Android 6.0.1 Official Beta Marshmallow for ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL. This is Beta ROM and maybe you will found some bugs. So DWYOR ! and before upgrade to Marshmallow beta your ZenFone 2 ZE500KL must be on 12.8.5.222 firmware. You can flash it via adb with 12.8.5.222 ROM Here

Download Android 6.0.1 ROM

1. Download ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser ZE500KL Marshmallow Beta (Download)|(Mirror)

Steps How to Upgrade ZE500KL to Android Marshmallow Beta

1. Your software version must be on 12.8.5.222 (Check at Settings>about>software version)
2. Download ADB Tools and Install it
3. Download the Android Marshmallow Beta Above
4. Copy ROM to a folder
5. Turn Off ZE500KL and enter recovery by pressing Power+Volume down (tutorial Here)
6. Choose Apply Update from ADB
7. Connect ZenFone to Laptop/PC 
8. On Marshmallow beta ROM folder press shift+right click -> open command here
9. Check connection by typing: adb devices if your device is listed you're ready to flash the ROM
10. Flashing Marshmallow Beta ROM by typing:
adb sideload WW_ZE500KL_V13.10.6.15_20160417.zip
11. Wait until complete
12. Reboot the phone (first boot will be longer than 5 minutes)
13. Done your ZE500KL is running Android Marshmallow Beta

CyanogenMod 13 For ASUS ZenFone 5 (Android 6.0)

Asus ZenFone 5 will not upgrade-able to Android Marshmallow based on ASUS Android 6.0 Update plan, but there are a lot of developer out there still try to support this device. A couple days ago dgadelha, senior member xda developer create an experimental build CyanogenMod 13 for ASUS ZenFone 5. This ROM is experimental build so there are a lot of bugs, but it's a huge step for ZenFone 5 development. The original thread is Here.

• ADB installer (Download)
• CyanogenMod 13 For ZenFone 5 ROM (Download) 
• Gapps, choose x86 and android 6.0 (Download)
• Install ZenFone 5 TWRP Recovery (Tutorial Here)

How to Install CyanogenMod 13 on Asus ZenFone 5:

1. Download system img and extract, boot.img, Gapps and ADB Tool
2. Install ADB Tool
3. Copy GApps to your SD-Card and insert to ZenFone 5.
4. Create New folder and Place CyanogenMod 13 ROM and Boot img there (systemCM-13.0-20160403-EXPERIMENTAL.img and bootCM-13.0-20160403.img)
5. Turn Off your device.
6. Reboot into bootloder using Power + Volume UP button.
7. Once device in bootloder mode, Connect device with PC using data cable.
8. In the ROM folder, Open Windows Commend by Pressing Shift key + right click of the mouse and select the open command here.
9. Type at CMD (hit enter after each line):
fastboot flash boot bootCM-13.0-20160403.img
fastboot flash system systemCM-13.0-20160403-EXPERIMENTAL.img
faceboot erase data
fastboot erase cache
10. Once it finished, Open device in recovery mode by type: adb reboot recovery.
11. Select install zip and browse the GApps zip file that you copied and flash it.
12. Once it flashed, you should format ( NOT WIPE ) and cache data in TWRP.
13. Restart the device and enjoy CM13 on your Zenfone.
